Successful Week-Long PBL Testing Concludes in Warsaw

From May 19th to 23rd, 2025, Lazarski University played host to a productive week of Problem-Based Learning Testing, bringing together students from Poland, Iceland, and Georgia. The intensive program focused on collaborative learning and practical application, providing participants with valuable insights and experiences on ESG.

When asked about the most valuable sessions, students offered a range of enthusiastic responses:

One participant highlighted “The S in ESG” as “very interesting and well-structured presentation,” emphasizing the impact of a clear and engaging delivery.

Another student appreciated the entirety of the program, stating, “I really liked all the sessions that we had because each one of them was an experience and I got to know a lot of new information.” This speaks to the comprehensive and enriching nature of the PBL approach.

The “How to calculate the costs of social responsibility” session, led by Katarzyna Marton-Gadoś, was singled out for its practical value. A student noted, “From my point of view, practical tasks are always the best way to learn a new topic. Moreover, during this session we’ve also covered and discussed elements that are not obvious from the first glance, but very important for environmentally friendly organization.” This feedback underscores the importance of hands-on learning and exploring nuanced aspects of a subject.

Beyond specific sessions, the opportunity for international collaboration was highly valued. One student found the “experience in communication with people from other countries in an academic setting” particularly beneficial.

The session on “How to Create Your Own Company” also resonated strongly with participants, described as “informative and lecturer was helpful and funny.”

Overall, the sentiment was overwhelmingly positive, with one student concluding that “all sessions met or exceeded my expectations.”

While the feedback was largely positive, a constructive suggestion for future sessions was to allocate “more time to work on the project in the beginning, to have a concrete idea for all the workshops that followed.” This would allow students to solidify their project ideas before delving into the subsequent workshops.
